The University Medicine Greifswald (UMG) comprises 21 clinics/ polyclinics and 19 institutes and is thus Vorpommern’s only maximum care provider.

Success through innovative health check

Since 2017, UMG has been developing and operating an innovative health promotion programme for SMEs in the region in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The project, which is unique for the state of M-V, is called PAKt-MV. In the meantime more than 50 companies have been visited.

Companies from the M-V region have the opportunity to give their employees access to workplace health promotion measures even in areas where there were no previous offers due to the rural structures.

PAKt-M-V is promoted by the Ministry for work, economics and health of the country M-V as well as by the European union (EFRE). The project is supported by Viluas’ innovative health solutions in terms of cockpit and coaching.

That’s how it works:

By using a mobile health check in the prevention bus (PAKt-Mobil) and subsequent health coaching, companies and their employees in rural areas can participate in the offers. The bus drives up directly to the companies. Thus downtimes are minimized. A company can be provided with up to 20 seats free of charge as part of the accompanying research.

UMG will compare different coaching variants with each other and evaluate the effectiveness of the Vilua components, the preventiometer, personal coaching and the digital communication portal as an overall system.

Other employees can also take part in the courses on request. Please contact pakt-mv@uni-greifswald.de for further information.
