Patients often have a long bumpy ride between initial diagnosis and a satisfactory, fulfilled life. Vilua’s Patient Support Program helps them to master this journey with confidence and success – professionally assisted by digital apps and Vilua’s competent health coaches

Comprehensive support in dealing with the disease
- The patient learns about the Patient Support Program from his GP/specialist, from the health insurance provider, through his/her own research or a self-help group etc., and then registers for the program.
- The personal coach contacts the patient by telephone or communicates with him/her digitally using the coaching tool.
- Coach and patient communicate via various channels, e.g. telephone, digital services, SMS, e-mail and videos.

Focus on long-term behavioural changes
- Certified systemic health coaches with a life-science background and who participate regularly in further training on the specific illness assist patients using a holistic approach.
- The personal coach analyses the patient’s typical behavioural patterns and discusses these with him or her. In this way, health-related goals can be defined and individually adapted.
- In the course of coaching, subjects such as nutrition, activity, stress, medication and how to deal with the illness are discussed.
- Additional digital services support the individual coaching program.
- A distinction between the program and medical consultation is maintained at all times. The coach does not interfere with medical therapy and always refers the patient to his physician in case of doubt.
